The Division of Cardiac Surgery at New York Presbyterian - Columbia University Irving Medical Center is accepting applications for a Clinical Instructor position in Mechanical Circulatory Support, Heart Transplant & High-risk Cardiac Surgery. Anticipated duration of the fellowship is 12 months, with a 2nd year reappointment optional, dependent upon satisfactory progress in training, performance of all duties and continued visa clearance, if applicable. Candidate must have completed cardiothoracic surgery residency training by 6/30/26 and be eligible for a New York State Medical License.
Responsibilities include in-house call, patient care and active participation in the education of residents and medical students. Candidate can also participate in various clinical research.

Surgeons with training from ACGME approved cardiothoracic training program:
Curriculum Vitae
Three letters of support from previous training programs or current employer.
Board certification or eligibility by ABTS
NYS Medical License (to be applied for upon acceptance in the program
Non-US Trained Surgeons:
Currently in US with appropriate H1 or O1 visa, or Green Card – no exceptions Curriculum Vitae Three letters of support from previous training programs or current employer. Copy of ECFMG certificate Copy of board certification from country of Cardiac Training Current FCVS profile preferred. Selected applicant must use FCVS for NYS Licensure process.
