Hepatologist (Transplant)

The Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a 743-bed major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, is seeking to hire a Hepatologist at the Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor level to join an expanding 50-member faculty practice. The position will be based at the Boston Campus of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with a full-time academic appointment at Harvard Medical School. This position includes a full-time academic appointment at Harvard Medical School with a commitment to teaching Harvard learners.

Requirements: Successful applicants will be fully trained and Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and interested in developing a career in academic Hepatology.
The applicant will join a long-established program with 15 academic hepatology partners operating at BIDMC and 5 community locations with plans to expand to additional outreach clinics. Our team works collaboratively with a long-established multidisciplinary team of Liver Oncologist, Interventional Radiologists, Hepatobiliary Surgeons and Radiation Oncologists providing care to patients with primary and secondary liver tumors. In addition, the BIDMC Transplant Institute with 7 transplant surgical colleagues performs over 120 liver transplants per year including living donor liver transplant and has a well-established transplant oncology program for HCC, hilar cholangiocarcinoma and colorectal metastases.
